The Khmer Collective is a portrait project that documents our legacy and roots in an effort to preserve our history. This project is a dedication to our ancestors, elders and future generations of Khmer people.

This collection of portraits represents who we are and what we have yet to accomplish—an optimistic view beyond our tumultuous past. Denys's work explores fractured identities, inherited stories, complexity, contradiction and continuity all at once.
